Yann Le Gourrierec
About Yann Le Gourrierec
With a widespread and extensive background in the banking sector, Yann Le Gourrierec has subsequently undertaken various roles that have equipped him with a broad perspective of the challenges to be addressed within governance, talent management and organizational transformation.
As an HR director, for close to 15 years, he supported executives and managers during their career development, whether in the context of restructuring, career development, or seeking new challenges.
With this background he naturally turned to outplacement and coaching where he offers his support and expertise to managers and executives considering a change in direction, whether by undertaking strategic development or by repositioning themselves in a new endeavour.
His approach, based on a detailed understanding of the complex relational dynamics and interactions in business, enables him to support leaders and executives during career change with a natural humility, simplicity and empathy.
His aim is to help anyone discover their true potential and to mobilize their resources towards undertaking a new role, reaching a new objective, overcoming obstacles or simply assessing their current career path.
In doing so, he is guided by the insight given by the quote: “be yourself, others are already taken” (Oscar Wilde).
Committed, attentive and resolutely focused on people, Yann’s approach to professional coaching combines senior-level experience with a personal approach.
Experience
Yann Le Gourrierec has held positions at several banks (Banque Populaire Group, Caisse d’Epargne) in Brittany and Pays de la Loire, as well as the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region, where he has undertaken strategic and senior leadership roles.
Notably, he has held senior positions at Executive Committee and Board level with responsibility for a resources division and then a commercial division.
His extensive career has included undertaking a leading role in several merger operations, which enabled him to support individuals during periods of uncertainty and to address strategic and individual concerns. In this context, he has always considered that taking a step back or even sideways is an essential skill to then continue onwards with foresight and serenity.
This ethos transforms a period of uncertainly into an opportunity for reflection and new direction.
Education
Yann studied law at Nantes, obtaining his masters, continuing his studies at Jean Moulin Lyon 3 University. He completed his studies at ESSEC Business School. Whilst at Essec he also trained in Change Management, Leadership and Coaching based upon the Palo Alto approach.
