About Gilles Alex
Gilles has been supporting leaders and their teams, for several years now, with the firm conviction that “nothing should ever be taken for granted”.
Bringing to bear a broad and wide-ranging experience as a senior manager and coach, in the field, Gilles works side-by-side with his clients, as they explore steps needed to reach the objectives, they have set themselves, whilst maintaining clear focus on defined and tangible outcomes. For a leader at a transition-point in their career, this means taking a good look at the current situation, together, before successfully embarking upon a new direction with fresh challenges ahead.
Past experience gained within multi-nationals, including time spent overseas, has enabled Gilles to become firmly acquainted with organizational complexity, and the types of situations encountered, that he relishes helping his clients successfully navigate today.
A Seasoned entrepreneur and networker, convinced that everything starts first of all with a meeting and a conversation, he delights in welcoming his clients within his network to bring a fresh élan, more fully explore an idea or project, and open up opportunities to take things further.
Experience
Gilles has held operational and leadership positions, in Sales & Marketing, and general management, within various international groups and notably at Danone in Japan and Iran. Positions held include Director of Marketing and Sales at Danone, CEO of Dirafrost and member of the Executive Committee for the “Fruits Segment” of Suedzucker, and Director for Middle East and Northern Africa region at Savencia, before embarking upon a new direction in 2020 in executive outplacement and coaching.
In 2022, he joined Resilience Institute as a Consultant, Coach and Trainer.
In addition to his career in business, Gilles has created, managed and then exited several companies in France and Mauritius.
Education
Gilles is a graduate (EAP program) of ESCP Business School, Paris, holds an MBA from Wharton, and an MA (International Relations and Japanese) from Pennsylvania.
He is an ICF certified coach having completed the « Master in Business Coaching » program at International Mozaïk, Paris, in 2019. A psychotherapist (cognitive and behavioural approach) certified by The Institute of Neurocognitivism, he is also accredited by the Resilience Institute to use their Resilience Assessment behaviour measurement tool.
